CoSM brings you the second presentation for this year’s Moksha Family and Community Arts and Culture (CAC). Art Basel celebration. This is a benefit lecture for the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM), a sanctuary in New York City for contemplation and a center for events encouraging the creative spirit. Alex Grey’s work; The Sacred Mirrors, on display in the Chapel, are a series of paintings that allow us to see ourselves and each other as reflections of the divine (www.cosm.org).

Starting at 7 pm, join us for an exploratory evening discussing the pertinent themes and archetypes within Alex Grey’s visionary and sacred art. He will discuss the origins of his artistic vision, his personal evolution as an artist, and the increasing attention given to visionary art today. All proceeds for the go to supporting his vision for the creation of the future home for The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.

“Chartres Cathedral was once just an idea in someone's mind, a

community built it and inspired humanity for hundreds of years. Today

we are called to create a new sacred space for future generations to know

that humans alive today built more than just banks, malls and missile

silos. Helping build the permanent Chapel of Sacred Mirrors is a gift we

can give ourselves and the future that will benefit the spiritual lives of

countless people.(www.CoSM.org)”
